Out in Valparaiso with my old roommate, Majik. Majik still works at the boat up along the lake. Nowadays he deals craps. Back in the day he was very much a part of the Valet madness.
Right now, I’m showing him the value of today’s smartphone apps. In this case, the WordPress app on the iPhone. 3G.
With the app, I can instantly chronicle how I’m having trouble writing because the Cubs/Houston game is on, Zambrano is on 2nd with 2 out in the bottom of the 3rd n – well, Theriot just got out. Don’t know how because I had my head down and was trying to write that Theriot was up. Majik is having trouble watching the Cubs because of the “bitches” to my 8 O’Clock. And when I say “bitches” I am quoting him. When he calls them “bitches” he means, “they aren’t all dolled up n they look like they have brains in their heads and so I’m intimidated but intimidation won’t help my lack of chances this evening so I have to stir my adrenaline somehow.”
Luckily, he gave me the…I can’t finish that. A younger would have made that dig. An older realizes they’re good people.
Anyway, as Majik considers potential career changes, I hope he considers social media/SEO. Because this is what it is: honest, authentic interaction (what, you didn’t think I was going to spend the “career” part of this blog writing whitepapers? No.). The communication technology caught up to the marketplace, again.
Anyway, since I started writing, D-Lee hit one on to Waveland, A-Ram followed it with a double n is standing on second. It’s time to be social without using a social media tool.
Majik, I hope you enjoy this.
