I sent my first post off to the editor at SEO Boy at the end of day yesterday. Except the end of day in Bloomington, IN is an hour earlier than the EOD of Valparaiso, IN. Damned Region CST. A mistake that won’t happen twice. But given the whirlwind, I don’t think anybody minded. Being 15 minutes late wasn’t what concerned me.

What concerned me was the fear that they wouldn’t like my first post. I don’t care how many companies one ends writing for, I don’t care how well received your reputation is, nothing is as scary as the first writing assignment. No matter how much you’ve communicated with the employer/client, the first project still feels like you’re trying to hit the dartboard blindfolded.
I guess I would be more concerned if I didn’t continue to get the fear.
I woke up, checked me email, and was greeted with enthusiastic approval for my post. No changes, no edits.
Exhale.
The second good step in my first week of the 99 Weeks. The first step was an enjoyable NWI Tweetup.
As for the “More Good News to Come. Hopefully,” well, I want to share the news but I haven’t solidified the agreement. I find myself glancing over at my phone, hoping for it to ring. The project is a good cause and I’m all about good causes.
Hope to update soon.
